Sometimes, direct force to finger, trauma and sports cause tendon inflammation and rupture or finger fractures. Finger splints are used to fix proximal and distal phalange joints and suitable support to improve tissue recovery. Finger splints are sometimes used to hold finger in place to keep it from moving, such as when it is sprained or broken.
