A cervical collar, also known as a neck brace, is a medical device used to support a person's neck. Cervical collars are also used therapeutically to help realign the spinal cord and relieve pain. Hard collars are most commonly prescribed for cervical spine stabilization following either trauma, surgery, or fractures/dislocations[2]. Rigid braces are made from molded plastic with a removable padded liner in two pieces—a front and back piece—fastened with Velcro.
